This book was okay, it lacks the imagination of it being a "keeper." I doubt I'll read it again. Mike just doesn't have the gift of storytelling that his parent had. He writes a few good ones here and there, but I find it's a hit or miss kind of thing. As a grandmother of five, I have collected almost every one of the Berentain Bears books over the years and many of them we read over and over. This is not one of them, not for me anyways. I will say that his illustrations are colorful and well done. He should consider hiring someone to assist him with the writing of future books.

Always a great story, well written (great vocabulary), and a great lesson. We love the Berenstain Bears!

This Apple Cider Vinegar book is like a SWISS ARMY KNIFE of great health books. Not only does it have wonderful information concerning Apple Cider Vinegar, it also covers other healing foods as well. For me, I learned so much from this book. It has many things that I wanted to know in one place - this helpful book.Highly recommend this book!

I couldn't find my book, so I had to settle for the Kindle edition. ACV has so many uses. When I bought the book years ago I didn't take it seriously. However, after my sister found out from her eye doctor that she was developing a cataract in one eye, she began using ACV mixed with water with an eye dropper every day and drinking the ACV drink daily. When she went back to her eye doctor he discovered that she no longer has cataracts. Some people may call it quackery but they dismiss it too soon.

A excellent book to have that shows you how you can heal your body with apple cider vinegar. And there's definitely a difference between Bragg's apple cider vinegar, and the regular apple cider vinegar in the stores. I didn't realise that apple cider vinegar could heal my gums. So I brought some regular apple cider vinegar, and it did alright. So I decided I would purchase Bragg's apple cider vinegar to see if there was any difference, and there definitely was. Plus this book made me aware of a lot of things that I wasn't aware of, like the importance of making sure my body got enough potassium on a daily basis to remain healthy. I highly recommend this book if you want to stay healthy.

Like another reviewer stated, it is too peppered with advertisements. The basic information is good and useful but, I dislike having a company use an instructional book for promo purposes.

I read on line that ACV was good for heartburn. Had been suffering very badly with it for months. After 3 weeks, HB is cleared up, and not needing any OTC's or prescriptions that I was given.BONUS: I just went for blood work, and a check up. My blood pressure has returned to normal (after just 3 weeks of ACV), my A1C was below goal, .... I was shocked. I couldn't believe the blood pressure reading! (Prescription meds were NOT working. One even made my BP soar!) I said to my doctor "HOW CAN THIS BE?" She calmly answered: It's the apple cider vinegar." She's not a holistic doc, but tends to lean toward 'natural' whenever we can.Rushed to order the book. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. !Update: Now, I've been on this regiment for well over a year. My BP has stayed normal all this time. Heartburn:, ZERO.. and A1C ... below goal. Also had suffered with frequent bouts of gout. <<< GONE. I got 4 benefits from this. I have purchased many more of the books, and got many people on to it. (My son, and other heal conscious friends.)Thank you Bragg Family!! xoxoPS: I disagree that the book is all about 'ads'. The book got me started, and the rest? It's my medical history now.It IS truly a miracle. And, once my store was out, I had to buy an organic brand, but not Bragg's. It tasted so bad, I poured it down the sink. Then, Bragg's was back on the shelf. It is uniquely superior.

Drinking the ACV drink twice daily has done wonders for my health in reducing inflammation and almost completely getting rid of diabetes! I recommend it for everyone!!!

I have been using apple cider vinegar for years and bought this book for myself years ago and just recently gave one to a friend as a gift. It is amazing all the benefits of apple cider vinegar. I have used it as a foot soak along with some coconut oil when doing my own pedicure, I mix it with some distilled water in a little spray bottle to spritz on my face as a toner, also put in a spray bottle and spritz on my hair and scalp at night to help with dandruff and to keep my skin pH more balanced and you can also take it internally as well too. This book gives you all kinds of remedies for appled cider vinegar. Definately a good little book packed with some great health suggestions.

I am a fan of ACV with the "mother" in it,organic.I wanted to know more abt its uses and the "mother".This book is educational,although a bit corny wit the testimonies and photos.But it is a good book of facts and uses.

I don't know why the first dude gave it 1-star. This is a nice little "guide" book on treatment planning. It's not in depth because the very nature of planning a treatment is unique and not completely standardized. How can you write a book to prepare the reader for a thousand different possibilities? You can't. The flowcharts were good, but it's acknowledged that you don't have to follow the directions step by step in real life. Also, I must comment on the readability of the text. It's simple to read and understand, which in my opinion is hard to achieve in an educational book. The only thing I would complain is that the author seems to focus a lot more on perio than the other fields (endo, ortho, surgery, etc). Still, I'd recommend it as a handy GUIDE for dental students.

True, the book is full of of flow charts, but it is not meant to be used as a text book to learn information on diseases, etc. This book is to used as an outline to guide your thoughts regarding the formation of a patient's dental treatment plan. If it is used as such, it is an excellent resource. If I must criticize, however, I am worried that it may be too simplistic. As any dental student knows, there's more than one way to skin a cat and there are about a thousand ways to formulate an adequate treatment plan for a patient. Again, if the book is used as tool to guide your thoughts, it will be useful. This means you must remain current on new technologies and techniques.This book is great for dental students and anyone who feels less than completely comfortable in treatment planning (5 stars). I don't know how useful it would be for seasoned dentists, however.

Weiss Schnee is one of RWBY's most wonderful characters: cold and driven yet kind and lonely sometimes. This manga shows all of Weiss Schnee in her complex glory. One of my favorites is when Weiss drops homework time with Ruby to rescue the Faunas girl Velvet. Another is when Weiss dispels the notion of her being a fairy tale princess & demands to be seen as more than her family name.Most of the artwork is great, with only a few stories with awkward art. Don't expect anything new in terms of character development, but get this if you love Weiss Schnee as a character.

This 185-page manga goes over some of Weiss's internal monologue. It shows her feelings about Ruby, RWBY, and her childhood. It contains twenty (very) short stories that build on Weiss's motivations and dynamics with her team. Unfortunately, it doesn't reveal anything about her character that we don't already know, and at least three stories tiresomely repeat the friendship trope: "I used to be alone, but now I have friends that I cherish a lot!" We see more of Winter and her father, although there's nothing about her brother. There are some cute stories I liked a lot; for example, Weiss tries baking cookies, or she's concerned about her figure. However, I still feel like too much of it was filler. The conversation between RWBY and SN right after S2.E4 was just chit chat, to be honest.The comics are drawn by several artists, so sometimes you see small changes in art style. It's typical manga quality, although there are a couple stories where they were drawn particularly poorly. Maybe it's just me, but it was very hard to tell who was saying what. I've read Japanese manga so I know about the differences between solid and indented (both in and out) bubbles, but it didn't seem consistent at all. It's a pretty fast read at one hour or so, or probably less for many. Oh, for those new to manga, it's read right to left.I regret buying this at eight dollars. You can rent two movies for less than that. Given what I know now, I still would buy it, but only if it were much cheaper. If you're worried about missing the small amount of background story content, I'm sure there are brief but sufficient summaries somewhere on the internet. One would buy it primarily to read a few adorable vignettes. If you want to support RWBY, buy something from Rooster Teeth's store. There are plenty of cheap items at this price, like beanies, keychains, soundtracks, window decals, etc.

This one waa alright. You did get an in-depth look into Weiss's life and feelings. She loves her sister and her friends. Especially Ruby. She technically changes because of her. Without them I don't think she would develop properly as a good character. I say check this one out.

If you're a fan of RWBY I would reccomend this product as it expands on the character of Weiss as well as her relationship to her team quite nicely. This is an anthology book meaning each chapter is its own story & being done by different artists / writers. The best thing about it is that its artists who make fan art of RWBY online so you get to read their stories in semi-official format. The artwork is beautiful and worth paying for alone. This may be a good product for non-RWBY fans or if you want to get into the series as it has more individual character focus, so you don't need to watch too much of the anime to follow along. As far as manga volumes go this is a great purchase regardless.

I am a huge fan of rwby and I’m glad to have this! It has fun stories not present in the show.

Overall, I am a huge supporter of the RWBY Anthology series. And I seriously love the way we get to see the lives of team RWBY before the Fall of Beacon, especially Weiss in this Volume. And I'm so glad that this is canon.All in all, for this Volume 5/5.

If you do than this is the perfect book for you. It's all new stories that you have never got to see before from all of the books and they look real good.

This is a awesome book filled with fantastic art and gives a greater look into just what makes Weiss who she is and why she acts the way she does around Her friends.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it in two days! Easy to read and exhilarating! One of the best books I have ever read about the power of our Blessed Mother Mary's intercession in leading souls to Jesus and His Roman Catholic Church. A great book for anyone. The fact that each of the accounts was written by a man yet alive today makes every word a living witness to the reality of God moving in the world in a powerful way today through His Mother. What a wonderful compilation of human suffering, human hope, human idiocy and thankfully, Divine Intervention. Copious tears flowed while laughs resounded during both an aloud reading of this to a family member and alone. Its a super fast read and all homes with teenagers on up need this book - in many rooms. Men are not the only sinners so women can learn about overcoming inner barriers and getting free. You have an inside-the-mind, front row seat and get to watch your fellow humans go from infernal to supernal. There is nothing more uplifting or inspiring. This book will save many from lives of crime, drugs, sin. God bless all the contributors and may all who read this gain greater inner freedom. Amen.

I am always looking for material for our church library and being I am not a reader but enjoy visual movies I lean more in that direction- so when I say these are GREAT!! reads that is quite a statement- Books lose my attention early on so I don't read alot but The Holy Spirit prompted me to buy Of men and Mary and also Transfigured which has given me such a gift of grace and hope! I've ordered several for our church library and gifted friends and my sons as I know they will want to share this with friends of theirs- MORE! than worth the money- a valuable gift to yourself and whoever you share it with- The Holy Spirit is!! alive and well!! The cover of thus book says it is superb and anointed and transforming. I have to completely agree. I have not wanted to put it down and have already bought more copies to share. As Harriet goes through several mishaps, the reader discovers Harriet’s limitations, dreams and realities.This is my first graphic novel. If this book is any example, I have found a new genre to explore. This is a fantastic sample. The illustrations are vivid and enjoyable. The writing is complex while being informative at the same time.This is a wonderful book about disabilities, friendship, loneliness, fantasies, and trying things one thinks they don’t like. How the author packed all of these great subjects into one story is amazing. Just like the book.I received an eBook ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. There are many things that I adored from this story.; it features a young Latinx girl with MS (multiple sclerosis), the art is beautiful and the story so heartwarming. Harriet moves to a new city with her family and her heartbreak, her loneliness, her fears just go beyond the paper. Her parents work all day and although they are very supportive and loving, she still feels so out of place. Then she meets her neighbor, an old lady with thousands of books and stories to share.The ending is so hopeful and I'm going to cry again. Such a wonderful story.

It's a story featuring a young girl living with a chronic illness. I give this book a 4.5/5. The art matches the story so well.

Harriet, who goes by Harry, is having a miserable summer. Her family just moved. Her parents are both working all day, and she has nothing to do but catch up on the dry summer reading for her new school. She’s very lonely, and she’s not being completely honest with herself. The only person who is around is the older lady downstairs, Pearl. At first, Harriet just thinks Pearl is weird but Pearl is patient and stories about her kids and the books the elderly lady shares with Harry may be just the thing Harriet needs this summer.This is a quiet story. Harry is an unreliable narrator in many ways. Most will know from the blurb that she’s dealing with a disability that isn’t very visible (she has MS and is in denial in some ways). The blurb says she also has an unrequited crush, but I didn’t find that to be the case at all. She tries to deal with her loneliness and the things she’s left unsaid to her parents through writing letters to a person she’s never met who she thinks would understand her. That’s it. There’s a slow process of growth, but eventually there is growth and Harry admits she’s lonely and has some worries to the adults around her. There’s no huge big finish, but then again, how many real stories have a huge big finish? I kind of wanted a little more from the book, but on reflection I’m ok with it as it is. One of the things that I hear the most from teens is how lonely they are. Even the kids who seem to have tons of friends. It seems to be a universal teenage experience to feel lonely at some point at least. I think that even though this is a quiet story, it will resonate with many, many readers. The look at what it can be like to live with multiple sclerosis is another plus, as I can’t think of any other books for tweens or teens about that disability. There’s also a little bit of information about another kid in the past who had polio, but just a little. (There’s more in the author’s note than in the story.) And even though the book is technically set in the 1980s, there’s not much to set it apart from modern life except Harry doesn’t have a cell phone or computer to use when she’s alone. Recommended for any just about any tween or teenager who needs to know that others get lonely and feel weird sometimes too, and also those who want to better understand MS.Notes on content [Based on the ARC]: No language issues. No sexual content. (There’s a tiny magazine article about an actor and actress kissing. That’s the only thing even close.) About the Author

MARIE CURIE (née Maria Sklodowska) was born on November 7, 1867, in Warsaw, Poland. Her mother Bronislawa Boguska, was an accomplished pianist, singer, and teacher, and her father, Wladyslaw Sklodowski, was a professor of mathematics and physics. A brilliant student, Marie gained a gold medal upon completing her secondary education in 1883. Refused admission to the University of Warsaw because she was a woman, she earned her living as a private tutor and governess. One of her sisters, Bronya, was already studying medicine in Paris, and she encouraged Marie to move there. In November 1891 Marie enrolled at the Sorbonne, where she would earn her doctorate in physics in 1904. In 1894 she met Pierre Curie (1859–1906) at the School of Physics and Chemistry of the University of Paris while working in his laboratory on her research project. They wed in 1895.The Curies began their research into the mysterious radiation from uranium that had been discovered by Antoine Henri Becquerel (1852–1908) and in 1898 announced the discovery of radium. In 1903 the Curies and Becquerel were awarded the Nobel Prize in physics for their work on radioactivity. In 1904 Marie published her thesis, Radioactive Substances.After the death of Pierre on April 19, 1906, Curie succeeded her husband as professor of general physics at the Sorbonne, becoming the first woman faculty member in the 650 years of the school’s existence. In 1908 she taught the first and at that time the only course on radioactivity ever offered at the Sorbonne. In 1911 she received the Nobel Prize in chemistry for her discovery of polonium and radium and for isolating pure radium. She was the first person ever to receive the award twice. During World War I she organized radiological units for hospitals. She was the director of the research department of the Radium Institute of the University of Paris (1918–1934). Curie died on July 4, 1934, in Valence, France, a victim of exposure to the deadly rays from radium. Her last book, Radioactivity (1935), was edited by her daughter Irène, who shared the 1935 Nobel Prize in chemistry with her husband, Jean-Frédéric Joliet, for their discovery of new radioactive isotopes prepared artificially.

Palmer.This book is a reproduction of Marie Curie’s doctoral thesis in which she proved that radium is a chemical element. It was presented at the Sorbonne in 1903. This edition is an unabridged republication of the 1904 English translation.Firstly it is important to note that this is a historic document and does not necessarily represent present day knowledge, though it is one of many sources of that knowledge. What is amazing about the work is its attention to detail. It explores each possible explanation of her ideas through carefully planned experiments and is a model of what a good scientific thesis should be. On every page there seems to be yet another experiment that describes in a few lines experiments that may well have taken weeks or months to complete.She also gives full credit to other scientists working in related fields and where she disagrees with their findings respectfully places both views together, so that others may judge the merits of each view. She also manages to keep up with the research of other French researchers and also many overseas researchers. It is an exceptionally brilliant piece of work.It is a worthwhile read for anyone interested in following an experimental scientific method.BILL PALMER
