About the Author

Angela Fisher and Carol Beckwith have spent a lifetime studying the peoples of the Horn of Africa, and have published their photography in a series of acclaimed books as well as major magazine features in Time, Life, Vogue, Marie Claire, and Elle. They exhibit and lecture widely at prestigious venues such as the American Museum of Natural History, The Smithsonian Institution, and the Royal Geographical Society in London. Francis M. Deng is currently Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on the Prevention of Genocide. He has also served as a senior diplomat for Sudan, as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (1976–80), and as an ambassador to the United States.

I purchased this as part of my collection of Africa wildlife books. This book does not include wildlife, but as the title says, the people of the Dinka nation at work and play. Large thick book with excellent quality images. A great documentation of a lifestyel that is vanishing. I do want to note a warning: This book is realistic. As such there are many images of skin scaring and nudity that may offend some and may not be suitable to small children without some adult explanation.I'm very glad I purchased this book.

I shutter to think how many books I now own and none of them can hold a candle to this fantastic work of art. Speaking of work, the author must have poured her soul and heart into the book's creation, and it shows. The photography, the history, the human interest side, it's all there. I truly do love it.

As'salaam Ali'koum, I research and illustrate ethnic, tribal and traditional dresses of many countries! This book is an documentation of a people whose traditional way of life is slowly ending. It's crammed full of awesome color photography and includes a rich history of the Dinka people.

The photography in this book is spectacular and the narrative is quite informative. I was saddened to learn of the changes in the 30 years between the authors' visits to this lovely, peaceful tribe, but was grateful that they had done such a beautiful job capturing the Dinka's lifestyle, culture and spirit before it all changed. This is an eye catching coffee table book to be savored over and over.

If you appreciate truly good books, great books... then this is one you should have in your library. I probably own somewhere upwards of 1000 books. This is one that I will pull off the shelf and look at over and over again. I'm the kind of guy that when folks come over... I can't help myself, I pick up a book and say, "Check this out." This is one of those books. Enough already...it's excellent.

Book arrived on time and in condition stated. What more do you want? The only negative is that it was printed in China; therefore the colors are not as vibrant and vivid as some of the other books I have by the same authors. What do we expect? We want everything cheap so we get what we pay for.

Loved this book! Suzanne Wright is an automatic buy for me and she continued to deliver with the latest installment of The Mercury Pack series.I had been heartbroken to hear of Bracken's loss in the previous book so to see him push past his loss and embrace Madisyn as his mate was so special. I loved finally finding out her species and loved that she didn't fold right away. Bracken stepped up to the plate to win her over and make sure she knew she was loved for her. Of course, the struggle for him to keep her protected and not step all over her independence felt real, as well.I'm so glad that Madisyn got her mate and I'm so glad that Shiloh was not Bracken's.Another great read by Wright that I have already read twice! Can't wait for Dominic's story next. Hope that Wright will write the next generation after finishing these two series.

Echoes of Fire is the fourth book in this series and is Bracken’s and Madisyn’s story.I fell head over hills in love with the bossy dirty talkin Bracken. That man! He was devastated by what had happened to his family and was barely living until fate stepped in and revealed Madisyn as his true soul mate. This gave Bracken a reason to live and a reason to prove to Madisyn that she was worth living for.Madisyn was used to living alone and depending on no one but herself. She’s not one to trust easily and is convinced that the only reason Bracken wants her is because they are mates. She believes he doesn’t really even like her. Yeah, Bracken enjoys proving her wrong and I was so glad Madisyn was open to this and didn’t fight the feelings. They took the time to get to know one another, and as a result their relationship just kept getting better and closer. Loved their smexy scenes and as I mentioned above, loved that mouth on Bracken. They were absolutely perfect together.I am anxiously awaiting Eli’s and Dominic’s stories. I believe they are the two remaining characters from the Mercury and Phoenix Packs that haven’t gotten books yet.

Another awesome read. This book takes you into the mind and heart of a snarky palace cat shifter and a emotionally wrecked would shifter. Bracken lost his whole family in one night.a mad shooting where he tried to keep his infant nephew safe but couldn't. Here wanted to fire like them but vengeance kept him alive. Madisyn is wiring her way back to a healthy her after a crazy romance. After a non-fight Bracken comes to help and then they feel the bond. They work through issues and fight off threats to bring their happily ever after. Can't wait hi dad the next Phoenix pack or mercury pack book

I'm a sucker for anything Suzanne Wright writes (heehee). But I've been dying for Bracken's story after what happened in the last book. I really thought it was going to go another way until I caught the description where Madisyn is his mate and my mind became blown. There's always enough angst and sassy retorts that make me grin whenever I read a book, and this one did it for me. A little spoiler that's not really a spoiler: my husband talks in his sleep like Madisyn does so if you have anyone who randomly likes to yell out things READ THIS BOOK. Or just read is anyways because it's a great book.

I love this ever expanding shifter world. 'Endearingly vicious' & 'adorably mean' pallas cat vs. psychotic black bears.This adventure took me through a spectrum of emotions that kept pages turning.The main characters where a surprise & proved to be a perfect foil for each other dominate personalities. Loved their banter, strength, venerability & how they sizzled.Greatly anticipating Dominic's story next but can't wait for Cain's too.

Heartwarming,heartbreaking,dramatic,intriguing and erotic romance with wonderfully written characters and their hard fought struggles to get their own Hea!💖 Suzanne Wright has the ability to make her characters and storylines come to life for her readers to enjoy thourghly! I'm Highly Recommending that you have this fantastic series 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖You're soooooo gonna love them all!!!!!

I love this author, I have All her books and I re-read them often and it never gets old, Ms Wright has a way of grabbing you and pulling you right in and keeping you there till the book is finished, There is humor, strong characters, great storylines, I like the way she can intermingle her series it is so good, so grab her Mercury Pack series and sit back and enjoy, you will be glad you did.

What can I say about how awesome this book is? I sat up all night, until 4am reading it because once I started it, I was so involved with the characters that I couldn’t put it down! Madisyn is such a fun and snarky heroine. She’s been a favorite of mine since we first met her. The change in Bracken from Zander’s book to this one is heartbreaking. These two were definitely meant for each other.

Was hoping to be able to remove posters, place in a frame and display my favorites. Unfortunately, all of my favorites are the classic posters prior to the attitude era. Only 10 of these posters are prior to attitude and non during the new generation. And all of these classic posters are printed on the front and back of the same page. Like the hand drawn artwork of Royal Rumble 1992 and the epic match up between Hogan and Warrior at Wrestlemania 6? This book forces you to choose which you like better. Now if you love Triple H then this may be your book. Of the 40 posters, his face appears on 7 and none of them are the front and back of the same page. So of the 20 posters you can display, 7 could be of everyone's 4th or 5th favorite wrestler of the attitude era. A huge lack of variety and poor poster choices make this a huge disappointment.

Purchased for my grandson. Exceptional quality! Far exceeded expectation.

I bought this knowing that the posters were double sided, if you didn't know this...well now you do. This was fine for me because as a 25 year old adult man, I don't really NEED 40 wrestling posters on my wall. I still used 11 of them however. The posters were a lot larger then I anticipated. I thought they would be maybe slightly larger then the ones that would be in the old WWF magazines, but they are way larger. The quality of the posters are outstanding. Now the majority of the posters are from 2006-2013, there are a couple from the Attitude Era and a couple from the Golden Era. I hung up most of the Wrestlemania ones (6,17,26,28,and 30), as well as the ones that featured The Undertaker and Triple H since their 2 of my favourites. Long story short, would definitely recommend if you are a proud, unapologetic wrestling fan who constantly has to justify your love for this wonderful modern day art form to all your ignorant mates who feel the need to tell you it's fake. Fly your posters proudly my friends!
